(Conference) 7th Annual EU – Open Days

For the 7th consecutive year the RSA will actively take part in the OPEN DAYS – European Week of Cities and Regions held in Brussels in October 2015.

As part of the OPEN DAYS 2015, the RSA will co-organise a Master Class and five sessions that are part of the OPEN DAYS University. The registration for the University sessions and other OPEN DAYS sessions are now open and we hope you will be able to join the 6,000 delegates attending this free and exciting annual event.

The OPEN DAYS 2015 focus will be on “Europe’s Regions and Cities: Partners for Investment and Growth”, and includes…
  • 21 workshops/debates organised by regional partnerships, i.e. consortia of regions and/or cities;
  • 44 workshops/debates organised by the Regional and Urban Policy Directorate General of the European Commission;
  • 40 workshops hosted in the Committee of the Regions’ premises, known as the ‘Meeting Place’;
  • 11 ‘OPEN DAYS University’ seminars;
  • 16 OPEN Urban DAY sessions and 4 projects visits in the Brussels ‘Canal Area’;
  • RegioStars Award Ceremony and official reception at the Brussels Centre for Fine Arts/BOZAR;
  • Various networking sessions at the Meeting Place and Centre Borschette.

Themes featured are:

  1. ‘Modernising Europe’: The regions in the energy Union and the single digital market
  2. ‘Regions open for business’: SME development, innovation and job creation
  3. ‘Places and spaces’: Urban and rural development; urban-rural integration
