At the 2011 World Economic Forum in Davos, A new book entitled Water Security: The Water-Food-Energy-Climate Nexus was released. The book argues that:
Finding sustainable growth models that can work across these issue areas while sustaining a global economic recovery will be challenging, but it is possible. Technical investigation, economic analysis, and policy formulation need to become much more interlinked.” Much of this “…investigation, economic analysis and policy formulation …” will involve rural people, places and policy makers.
The 2015 ICRPS workshop will address these challenges and assess priorities for education, research and policy innovation in different contexts, including OECD countries of Europe and North and Central America and those of North Africa and the Middle East. The day-long conference includes over 20 papers from international researchers and 3 plenary sessions assessing the possible implications of research for rural policy.
There is a $75.00 registration fee which includes lunch and break refreshments
