New Report on Digitization in Ontario Public Libraries

OurDigitalWorld, an Ontario-based nonprofit that works with libraries, archives, historical societies, museums, and community groups to steward and share their heritage materials, released a report in January 2019 about special collections and digitization in Ontario’s public libraries. The results include an analysis of how many Ontario communities are currently served by organizations that accept donations of historical material, the capacity of libraries to steward and digitize these items, the impact of digital collections, and potential partnerships and collaborations with other organizations.
