Institutes such as the International Comparative Rural Policy Seminars (ICRPS) summer schools will be sustained as a rich venue for graduate students, faculty, and practitioners to collaborate and learn. Such institutes have proven to be stimulating contexts for exploring innovative approaches to policy, challenging opportunities for the evaluation of old approaches, and excellent examples of experiential learning and engagement. They also provide opportunities for students to acquire course credits.
