Call for Applications: Rural Research Centres Travel Award
Overview of Award:
The purpose of the Rural Research Centres Travel Award is to support knowledge mobilization, relationship building, and collaboration around rural policy and practice. It can support student travel for training and faculty travel for mentoring. Members of The Rural Research Centres Network (R2CN) are encouraged to apply.
Amount:
- Up to $1500 for student travel for conferences, collaboration, and networking opportunities
- Up to $1000 for faculty and collaborators travel for conferences, training, and networking
Larger requests may be considered if significant impact on R2CN goals and activities (knowledge mobilization, collaboration, and student training and mentoring) is demonstrated.
Eligibility:
Students at the undergraduate, masters, PhD, and post-doctoral levels at RPLC-affiliated institutions in Canada, the US, Mexico, and Europe are eligible to apply. Student applicants are to include evidence of support from their university/institute or supervisor regarding the value of this event for your work in rural research. Faculty and other RPLC members are also eligible to apply for funding. All applicants must be Rural Research Centres Network members.
